Willingham by Stow Village Hall was built in 1913 and stands in the centre of the village on the High Street opposite The Half Moon Public House. The building offers a wide range of facilities for residents of the village and the surrounding area.
There is a large main hall, with stage and lighting, which can seat up to 80 people, a modern kitchen, with sufficient place settings, cutlery, crockery etc for any function, a meeting room into which can incorporate a bar, toilets (including disabled facilities) and, constructed with funds raised as part of the Millennium celebrations, a new ramp and steps access to the front doors.

NEW VILLAGE HALL COMMITTEE FORMAT

Following the appeal which was issued before Christmas we had an excellent response and many people attended the Extraordinary Meeting on  December 5th 2006. Thank you to everyone who attended. Several people volunteered to help and a new committee was formed. Details are given below, It has been decided that the General Committee will continue to have overall responsibility for the running of the Village Hall. However, In order to make day to day management easier, a separate management Committee has been established. If anyone has any suggestions for functions,, fund raising activities, improvements to the hall or facilities or has any special skills which could bevolunteered please feel free to contact any member of the committee with your ideas.

100 CLUB

It was decided that in order to increase income, the format of the 100 Club draw would be altered. It was our intention that the number of tickets and the number and value of  prizes will be doubled. Although we did not double our membership, we do now have more than 150 which means the prizes are as follows:

Monthly prizes of £30, £20 and £10.
The November draw will have prizes of £100, 2 x £50, £30, £20, £10

The first draw under the new format was made on 1st June. If you do not have a ticket, please buy one this yearr!
